The Sections

The Sopranos. Well this is not the group from New Jersey that has their own little piece of the mob world but these are usually the lead singers of the choir. When you hear the voices singing higher than the stratusphere, it's the sopranos doing it. Below are two pictures. The one on the Left is from January 2009 and the one on the right further below is from September 2006.

The Tenors. Usually singing harmony this group of high singing guys and low singing ladies are usually being told to sing not so loud. Most music we have found seems to be right in the range for this group to really shine and shine they do. Below are two pictures. The one on the Left is from January 2009 and the one further below on the right is from September 2006.

Second Sopranos. Now second in their case does not mean second hand or anything less than great. Not as low as an alto or as stratuspherically (was that a real word) high as sopranos these ladies sing with the sopranos until it gets to high or division is needed to really fill the sound of what is being sung. Below are two pictures. The one on the Left is from January 2009 and the one further below on the right is from September 2006.
Da Basses. Always giving a great foundation to the sound of the choir, this group of guys are the manly men of the choir with their deep rich sound. When you hear the choir and your stomach rumbles from the low sound, there is a good bass section singing. Below are two pictures. The one on the Left is from January 2009 and the one further below on the right is from September 2006.

The Altos. Usually singing harmony just above the tenors and usually one of the hardest parts to learn in the choir these ladies do it well. Below are two pictures. The one on the Left is from January 2009 and the one further below on the right is from September 2006.
